Shower Beer

The 40 years I aged in the last four months
Just decreased by 50 in the last fifty minutes
Spent sipping a pilsner in the shower

Started thinking about the wasting of my water
And how unnatural I am, how natural
To be a part of this world

Stare into the sky in the dark for light on other orbs
Shot in the dark, fly by, say
“Hey, the lights are out here”

Just the planet off-gassing

What is Earth?
Our destruction
Is its creation
How naturally unnatural are we
How naturally unnatural indeed

And the water down the drain
